CDC has created a new, web-on-demand, self-paced module for healthcare providers who will be administering Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. This module will provide information to healthcare professionals about COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, based on the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and guidance from the manufacturer.

Continuing Medical Education for Physicians (CME):

In support of improving patient care, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this Enduring material  activity for a maximum of 0.25  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Continuing Nursing Education for Nurses (CNE):

In support of improving patient care, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this activity for  0.25 nursing contact hours.

Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE):

In support of improving patient care, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designated this Knowledge event for pharmacists to receive 0.025 CEUs in pharmacy education. The Universal Activity Number is JA-4008229-0000-20-181-H06-P.

TCEO does not provide CPE certificates. As a Pharmacist, you must log into the CPE monitor 8 weeks after the activity to obtain CE credit.
