The goal of this interactive online learning activity is to provide case-based training and education on compressive neuropathies, with specific attention paid to carpal tunnel syndrome. Diagnostic, treatment and clinical management tools, and an introduction to prevention strategies using the latest industrial hygiene best practices will be covered.

Participants will register on the osha.washington.edu site, and will be directed to a unique web-based course “dashboard”—on Canvas LMS, from where they can access the course.

Target Audience

Primary care providers including physicians, registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants; industrial hygienists, epidemiologists, licensed practical/vocational nurses, and other health educators.

Materials

There are no printed handouts for this online offering, but the course will a resources section of the course will provide  forms and sites that a clinician would use in practice including health history, workers' compensation, and other regional state and Federal websites with valuable clinical tools. Links to  other information the instructors believe could be of interest to those desiring more information on CTS are also provided.

Continuing Nursing Education for Nurses (CNE):

TCEO does not provide CPE certificates. As a Pharmacist, you must log into the CPE monitor 8 weeks after the activity to obtain CE credit.
