This web-based course will address these gaps and increase knowledge about malaria epidemiology, prevention, and treatment. This course covers the new options for treatment of malaria using different diagnostic options, and also the use of the new drug to treat severe malaria (intravenous artesunate) and prevention of relapses (tafenoquine). It also serves to complement the knowledge of healthcare providers and epidemiologists on malaria and the importance of incorporating it in the differential diagnosis of febrile returning travelers.

IACET Continuing Education Units (CEU):

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is authorized by IACET to offer 0.1 CEU's for this program.

TCEO does not provide CPE certificates. As a Pharmacist, you must log into the CPE monitor 8 weeks after the activity to obtain CE credit.
