The goal of the Healthcare-Associated Infections & Antimicrobial Resistance Workshop activity is to offer public health colleagues the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, improve their surveillance and epidemiology skills, and exchange information on best practices and strategies in applied epidemiology.

By the end of this activity, participants will be able to 
1. Identify best practices in applied epidemiology.
2. Describe best practices for surveillance and epidemiology.
3. Discuss public health practice skills presented in the workshops. 
4. Identify strategies or tools to improve public health practice.
5. Articulate the importance of interprofessional collaboration for applied epidemiology.
