The Bullying Prevention Online Course is a free, self-instructed, web-based training that provides you with the tools necessary to promote bullying prevention research and best practices in communities across the United States and internationally. Our goal is to successfully communicate the following, so that you leave here today prepared to:

1. Define bullying, the many forms it takes, and its effects,
2. Discuss best practices in bullying prevention and responding to bullying,
3. Highlight compelling examples of prevention strategies that work, and
4. Create an action plan and execute your community event.

In addition to providing you information on bullying prevention, the course provides concrete steps for the reader to host a community-level bullying prevention initiative using materials in the Community Action Toolkit hosted on www.StopBullying.gov. The Community Action Toolkit includes materials to create a community event using the research, ideas, and bullying prevention and response strategies that you learned about in the course. The Toolkit includes tip sheets, a template event agenda, action planning matrices, and feedback forms. Using this Toolkit will help you plan, execute and assess your community event to prevent and stop bullying.
