A lot of “senior moments” may in fact be seizures.

About 50,000 new cases of epilepsy occur in people aged 60 and above each year, and a significant number of additional cases go undiagnosed. Epilepsy is a medical condition. It is not contagious and can be treated.

This training is designed to teach and equip staff in senior-serving organizations to deliver “Seniors and Seizures” content at their agency. The training focuses on the following topics: The Basics of epilepsy in older adults, Recognizing Seizures, Responding to Seizures, The Impact of Epilepsy and Older Adults.
