The 68th Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Conference is a four-day series of presentations to highlight surveillance projects, investigations and resultant findings of the Epidemic Intelligence Service Officers and Laboratory Leadership Service Officers enrolled in the two-year EIS or LLS Program. Participants will benefit by learning about EIS/LLS officers’ role in the development of investigational studies, epidemiologic methods used during the EIS/LLS officer’s investigations, findings, control and prevention recommendations, and lessons learned that have impacted public health practices.

Continuing Nursing Education for Nurses (CNE):

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Certified Public Health (CPH):

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is a pre-approved provider of Certified in Public Health (CPH) recertification credits and is authorized to offer 27 CPH recertification credits for this program.

Continuing Education Contact Hours for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES):

Sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. This program is designated for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES®) to receive up to 23.5  total Category I continuing education contact hours. Maximum advanced level continuing education contact hours available are 0. Continuing Competency credits available are 23.5.  CDC provider number 98614.

Continuing Education for Veterinarians (AAVSB/RACE):

This program was reviewed and approved by the AAVSB RACE program for 26 hours of continuing education.
