This project will provide an overall of ALS to include its clinical applications, diagnosis, treatment, management, educational and its importance in getting a registry stated and maintained. The launching of the ALS Registry module is needed to educate the health care providers so they can inform their patients on the requirements for registering and participating in the program.

Target Audience

Our primary target audience is primary health providers and other health professionals involved in preventing/mitigating exposure to hazardous substances and/or related health promotion activities. The target populations for the ALS module are pediatric health care providers, primary health care providers and other health professionals that are interested in environmental health topics which include: CHES certified health educators, dentists, D.O.s, Epidemiologists, Laboratorians, Licensed practical/vocational nurses, MDs, Medical assistants, Nurse practitioners, Nurse technicians, Other health educators, Physician assistants, Registered nurses.

Prerequisites

A basic knowledge of medicine or related basics of human health promotion at a professional level is desired.

Continuing Medical Education for Physicians (CME):

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention designates this Web Based  activity for a maximum of 1.50  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Continuing Nursing Education for Nurses (CNE):

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is accredited as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
